This isn’t laziness or something that anyone with depression should feel ashamed of. In fact, it is very common for people with depression to experience major changes within their sleeping habits, a loss of interest in activities that were once interesting to them, and other, often-rapid abnormalities in a number of different physical and behavioural areas.
Such areas include, but are not limited to: having more of an appetite than usual (or simply not having an appetite at all), a lack of fulfilled energy, little to no concentration, and poor self-esteem.

A disturbing experience in life can result in seemingly everlasting episodes of unforeseeable emotions, vivid flashbacks, broken relationships with some or multiple individuals and even physical symptoms such as migraines and nausea panic attacks. I offer a wide range of integrative approaches for trauma – applied after conducting a psychological assessment and developing a bespoke treatment plan, based on each individual client. My approach integrates different modalities, like EMIT, EDMR and EFT, combined with counselling, hypnotherapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), which is a form of CBT.
You can start to feel more like a survivor and less like a victim, achieve a sense of overcoming and being in control of how you feel on a daily basis.
