Childhood Issues
Childhood pain can affect our growth, psychological wellbeing, and health as adults. Childhood pain or trauma can support unrealistic demands you might be placing on yourself and others.
As a child it made sense, having to to protect yourself, having to use the best strategies – but now as an adult, some of those strategies may no longer serve you or align with the person you want to be. Sometimes those needs to self-protect when we are children keep unhelpful beliefs in place and support unhealthy emotions as adults.

Self-Esteem & Confidence
When people look in the mirror, they ultimately see a reflection of themselves looking back at them. Sometimes we may see a reflection that smiles, whilst at other times we may see ourselves in an unfavourable light, and with an unsettling feeling in our stomach.
When we see that undesirable expression and experience an “I’m not good enough” feeling, this can be caused by a lack of confidence, low self-worth, and being too demanding on ourselves. This could also lead to a lack of assertiveness, because we don’t know how to speak up or ask for what we want, or because we may feel we don’t warrant it.
Clinical Hypnotherapy – along with an eclectic blend of REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy-type of CBT , Assertiveness Training & Mindfulness – can improve this feeling through self-enquiry, by bringing you to an altered state of awareness. In this state, the use of relaxation and ultimate concentration is in practice, boosting your inner feelings. If you’re ready to feel yourself smile every single time you look into that mirror, click the button below to book an appointment today, online or in person.

Fears & Phobias
The feeling of dreadfulness and the sensation of a panic attack may come across all us every now and again throughout our lifetime. However, for those who experience these symptoms on an ongoing basis – for six months, or perhaps even longer – it’s a clear signal that the body is experiencing a conditioned response.
Luckily, I offer solutions to help experience a breakthrough, and overcome these issues without having to rely solely on prescription medications.

Addictions & Habits
An addiction is defined as “any repeated behaviour, substance, related or not, in which a person feels compelled to persist, regardless of its negative impact on his/her life and the lives of others.”
Addiction is when you cannot stop partaking in certain activities. This can be anything, ranging from gambling to eating, to biting your nails and even working. Some may feel like they are addicted to things like food, drinking & watching pornography, and they go through extreme circumstances just to satisfy their urges.

Performance Anxiety
Have you ever had to stand up in front of a crowd to present, and for some reason the words you want to say simply just can’t come out? You felt so confident after hours spent rehearsed and going over your script, but when the moment comes, you start to freeze up and stutter once you see everyone looking at you?
This is the brain triggering a fight or flight response, by interpreting your surroundings as “dangerous”.
You may feel symptoms such as being overwhelmed and nervous while focusing on what can go wrong. Hypnotherapy can reverse this feeling and allow your mind to understand the feeling of “all eyes on you” in a positive manner.
If you’re looking to remain relaxed and confident during presentations, book an online or in person appointment today.

Other Areas
As well as the areas above, I also regularly work with clients in the areas highlighted below:
Find Your Purpose
Purpose is where we find meaning with how and what we want to do and contribute in this life. Purpose is one of the fundamental factors of happiness – allowing us to align ourselves so that we feel fulfilled and enriches our lives. Purpose is something greater than ourselves; something that can be found in many ways and makes life truly worth living.
Purpose can be linked to your job or career, but many people don’t find their purpose in their work. If your purpose is to help others, and you have a job as a therapist, then you’re probably living part of your purpose. Together we can find what your purpose is, and discover ways to activate this part of your life and take action, if this sounds good to you, click here to book an appointment.
Self Love & Acceptance
What would if be like to accept all parts of yourself… ”the great, the good, the not so good & the less desirable”? To feel happy, embracing who you are without having to qualify it or make conditions or exceptions.
The act of self-acceptance give us freedom to really feel authentic in our lives. Without having to prove who we are to ourselves or to anyone. To quiet down the inner critic that feels the need to constantly judge and compare and express itself in a more rational helpful way. If you feel like you want to discover your self in a more loving and compassionate way please book here.
Mindfulness
Many of us are at a time in our lives where we are ready to become more self-aware of what is going on in our own minds and thoughts, and understand our emotions and beliefs at a whole new level. This sense of awareness is a feeling that can bring great joy and happiness throughout your lifetime journey, by cultivating a state of inner peace to bring you more presence and reconnect with your inner child.
Mindfulness also helps your immune system by reducing stress (which can cause your fight or flight to work overdrive), and awakens you while bringing positivity to the way you think and feel on a daily basis. What you practice grows, so why not practice self-acceptance and compassion?
Relationships
Have you ever been in a relationship and no matter what your partner did, you never really felt like they loved you, you suspect their motives, and you’re unable to fully trust them – thinking that sooner or later they would leave you for someone better, someone smarter, more beautiful and figure out that you weren’t that special?
Perhaps you are in relationship now, always wanting and longing for love. Moving towards when you feel safe and away when you feel threatened or need to feel protected. Maybe feeling needy in relationship. Always wanting more or perhaps you have trouble opening up and letting your guard down.
This feeling can be exhausting, but it can be a signal that you need to control and take back your power by learning how to direct your own thoughts and emotions, because we behave based on what we think is happening?
When we learn to operate new more helpful tool sets, we can begin to see ourselves and those around us with a fresh pair of eyes increasing connection, self-acceptance and love.
Grief & Loss
When a person experiences a loss of any sort, it’s entirely normal to go through a grieving process. You may feel in disbelief or in denial at first, and then start to feel some frustration, anger, and even maybe some guilt. A person experiencing this process may find it extremely hard and quite devastating to complete the grieving process – which involves finding a source of comfort, and eventually being able to adapt to the loss in some way shape or form.
Hypnotherapy and sometimes the application of Mindful Rational Emotive Therapy (REBT), with Self-Enquiry can make a crucial impact on your well-being in this process and allow you to heal through this process in a faster manner.
If you’re looking for guidance that will allow you to get through these steps with a bit of ease, why not book your first appointment today?

The same can be applied to guilt, shame & jealously, which together we can examine and to see what is lying underneath the surface. There are usually unhelpful beliefs in place the supporting these unhealthy emotions.
I often combine RECBH (CBT with hypnosisI) NLP & Mindfulness which are a great way to, moving from unhealthy emotions & symptoms to more helpful states of mind. To help you feel more empowered and in control. Together we will examine what is at the root of the problem so we can move you into a more helpful way of thinking that isn’t so demanding of yourself and others.

Perhaps the months of lockdown has you feeling miserable, overly stressed, impatient & angry. Maybe you know that being demanding and rigid isn’t working, but you don’t know how to change.

Panic Attacks
The trigger experienced during a panic attack can be out of the blue, producing real physical symptoms like a churning stomach, a rapid heart rate, and feelings of terror.
It can be an overwhelmingly frightening experience. These physical symptoms are accompanied by psychological thoughts of terror, creating a cycle of dread, and causing a person to live “in fear of the fear”.
If you have been diagnosed with Panic Disorder, please feel free to reach out here.
OCD
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a result of communication problems in the brain. It can feel as if your brain is stuck in first gear, unable to move into second. With OCD, this mechanical error can show up in obsessions and compulsions, creating irrational fears and generated by obsessions.
Compulsions are the act of having to do something over and over, whilst obsessions are constant and unwanted intrusive thoughts, images or urges that can occur outside a person’s control.
In addition to the more classic forms of OCD, there are a number of more specific variations, including Compulsive Hoarding and Compulsive Skin Picking.
If you have been diagnosed by your GP, behavioural therapies combined with Clinical Hypnotherapy and Holistic Approaches can greatly help – reducing symptoms, and changing the brains automatic responses.
